Animal Companions for HeroQuest

Bolster your HeroQuest party with a variety of companions, each with their own strengths and weaknesses

This homebrewed add-on to HeroQuest contains 80+ brand new cards, including:

• 18 Unique Companions
• Companion tiles, fitting the squares of the HeroQuest Board = no miniatures required
• 42 Companion Traits and Abilities to combine
• A comprehensive Animal Handling system
• Lots of Companion Artifacts and Equipment
• 4 New NPC's, including The Pet Shop Boys and Ace ad Ventura - the Pet Detective
• Way too many dad-joke-leveled references to count...

The concept, while complex as a whole, has a built-in learning curve, benefiting the heroes ever so slightly early on, while providing more and more powerful allies as you gain experience and invest your hard-earned gold pieces into your new best friends.

With a vast variety of abilities to combine, and powerful synergies to be found, you can even bring the same companion on several quests and still experience something new, thus providing tons of replayability.

The system comes with a square-shaped version of each companion, fitting in size with the squares of the HeroQuest board, meaning that zero miniatures are required! If you like the concept, you can always go look for miniatures of the companions that you and your fellow adventurers like the most.
